We are The TJX Companies, Inc. Our vision is to be a global, off-price/value Company. Our history shows that we can successfully expand the off-price concept throughout the United States and also introduce it to new countries, building great businesses by educating those consumers over time. Operating in the United States, Canada and Europe, our experience has shown us that our great value equation plays well in many countries around the world. In addition, we have one of the most flexible business models in the world, which has performed well in both strong and weak consumer environments, and across many merchandise categories. Our strategy for growth is very deliberate, taking an evolutionary, not revolutionary approach. While we are entrepreneurial, we also expect clear visibility into financial returns before we invest significantly in accelerating growth. We are intelligent risk takers-always investigating new ideas. But we test and retest and build our businesses gradually, providing a secure foundation and strong infrastructure. We believe that this measured approach to growth, combined with intelligent risk taking, will continue to serve us well.
