HomeSense, operated by Winners, introduced the home fashions off-price concept to Canada with its launch in 2001.
Similar to the U.S. HomeGoods concept, HomeSense offers customers a wide and rapidly changing selection of off-price home fashions, including giftware, home basics, accent furniture, lamps, and accessories.
This chain operates in a standalone and superstore format, which pairs HomeSense with Winners.
At year-end 2008, HomeSense operated 75 stores with a typical standalone store size of approximately 25,000 square feet. Our plans are to net four HomeSense stores in 2009 and we believe this chain has the potential to grow to 80 stores in Canada.
