T.K. Maxx, launched in 1994, introduced the off-price concept to the U.K. Today, T.K. Maxx is the only major off-price retailer in Europe. Operating stores in the U.K. and Ireland, T.K. Maxx opened its first stores in Germany in 2007.

Similar to T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and Winners, T.K. Maxx offers great values on brand name and family apparel, women's footwear, lingerie, accessories, and home fashions.

T.K. Maxx ended 2008 with 235 stores, which average approximately 32,000 square feet in size. In 2009, we expect to net approximately 10 stores in the U.K. and Ireland combined and 15 stores in Germany, and believe that these markets combined could support about 525-575 stores, long term. This division plans to expand into Poland with its first store openings in that country expected this fall; we expect to open approximately three stores in Poland in 2009.
