V.A.L.U.E. Facts

Pledging our Support:

In late 2010, TJX announced its major multi-year pledge and global partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

On a Mission:

The TJX Foundation’s primary mission is to contribute to programs that provide basic-need services to disadvantaged women, children and families in communities in which we do business. In 2010, The Foundation funded over 1,300 organizations.

Involving More People:

We have made a concentrated effort over the past three years to invite Associates in our stores, offices and distribution centers to recommend organizations in their communities to receive charitable grants.

Getting on Board:

Our Associates volunteer their time and talent in a number of meaningful ways, including fundraising, mentoring and lending their leadership as directors on nonprofit boards.

How to Apply for Funding

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations seeking to apply for programmatic funding from The TJX Foundation should follow these steps:

  • Review The TJX Foundation's Mission Statement and Giving Guidelines (see below) to ensure that your mission statement is in line with the Foundation's.
  • Answer our Eligibility Questionnaire.
  • Fill out our Application Form. Someone from The TJX Foundation's office will contact you should we need additional information as we consider your proposal.

This year’s deadlines and meetings are scheduled to take place during the following weeks and are provided below for your general planning purposes only:

  • Submission Deadline (end of day, EST)
  • Anticipated Meeting Dates*
  • Monday, February 6, 2012
  • Week of April 9, 2012
  • Monday, March 19, 2012
  • Week of June 18, 2012
  • Monday, July 16, 2012
  • Week of October 15, 2012

Only complete applications will be reviewed by The TJX Foundation Allocation Committee.

You will be contacted by mail approximately four weeks after an Allocation Meeting with our Committee's decision with regard to your funding request.
