Building a Great Work Environment for our Associates

It is with this in mind, that we are particularly proud that TJX Canada has received the distinction of being named a Top 50 Great Place to Work® in Canada for 2014 and 2015.

The Great Place to Work Institute Canada is the Canadian affiliate of the U.S.-based Great Place to Work Institute. Organizations on the list were ranked using the results of an employee survey called the Trust Index©, which was developed and is administered by the Great Place to Work Institute. The survey methodology is utilized by over 6,000 organizations in almost 50 countries each year, making it the most widely adopted workforce satisfaction tool in the world.

This honor is especially meaningful because it comes directly from an independent, third-party survey of our Associates. The award is based on two criteria: a survey completed by a random selection of employees, along with their open-ended comments about our organization, and an independent, 3rd party review of our culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures. Importantly, the survey results provide us with meaningful information regarding areas of strength as well as insight into the areas where we can continue to improve.

We believe that this particular award demonstrates our commitment to encourage an active and open dialog with our Associates, to be active listeners and to continually improve and evolve our workplace environment. Our achievement with the Great Place to Work survey in Canada gives us confidence that our Associates enjoy the TJX culture, take pride in their jobs and have a high degree of trust in the decision making of management.
